Spiced apple tea / スパイスアップルティー

快く温かい甘い香りがパネルを迎え、スターアニス、生姜根、カルダモン入りの熱いスパイスアップルティーにレモンメレンゲパイを添えたようだった。味はスパイシーで甘く、たっぷりの挽いたクローブとアニスの実が、砂糖漬けのミントの葉／レモンピールと一緒になった。加水するとさらに甘さが現れ −ワインガム、ジューシーなフルーツ味ジェリーベビー、マンゴーとバニラのクーリ − 味にはバニラ・カラメルソース掛けバナナフリッターの強力に甘いクリーミーさがあった。このウイスキーはバーボンホグスヘッドで12年熟成した後、ソーテルヌカスクに直接移されて残りの熟成期間を過ごした。 A lovely warm sweet nose greeted the Panel like a hot cup of spiced apple tea with star anise, ginger root andcardamom served with a lemon meringue pie. Spicy and sweet on the palate; plenty of ground cloves and aniseed,combined with candied mint leaves and lemon peel.Water brought out more sweetness; wine gums, juicy fruit jelly babies and a mango-vanilla coulis whilst the tastehad the intense sweet creaminess of banana fritters with vanilla caramel sauce. After 12 years in an ex-bourbonhogshead, we transferred this whisky directly into a Sauternes cask for the remainder of its maturation.
